Buttercup always has the same expression, leading Lee to think she has some kind of doggy-disease which affects her facemuscles. Drawing her expression is.. difficult, so I settled on icons
I like the character Great sense of volume and shape. Good expression (even if frozen)... What's the pink around the nose (but grey on #4)? The bubbles are cute, but as others said, there are other indicators of mood. Dogs are expressive with their tails/back-ends - whether tail-wagging, rigid back/tail, wiggling, sitting, crouching, tail curved-in, etc. They also hold their head at various up/down/side angles for attention/depressions/confusion/sniffing. Open/closed mouth (tongue in/out, drool). Does she not wear her collar? I would like to see a sitting position. Reminds me of a cat I had whose eye fur/markings made him always look grumpy.
Kinda looks just like my Bulldog [link] and i must say youve done a great job. But my bulldog doesnt have a tail so she shows her excitement with constant licking and she moves her entire butt back and forth.
