Better preview. All inked with the pen at size 10 px.
I always dislike to ink in Photoshop since the lines are always blurry and too soft. You have to draw the inks at absurd resolution or the lines will look ugly. Painter has soft, smooth an clean lines, but it's not as easy to use as Photoshop.
Let me know if this brush is useful to you. Free to use.
Is this brush supposed to feel like a really dry marker? I seem to need to apply a shittons of pressure to make it look like black ink. Or am I doing something wrong? Other than that, lines look really fine. Can you please help me make it work?
Ok, I think I got it figured out by reverting my Wacom tip pressure feel to the default setting, had it on +1->Firm. Another question though: What resolution is the original preview image? You said you inked it with the brush at 10px, how do you make such small lines then? Pressing light and correcting many times? Or is the preview just scaled way down? Also, do you zoom in alot when inking with this brush or do you rather see the whole canvas? I'd love your input, I'm only starting my digital adventure and I'm very confused and frustrated with the whole brush/size/resolution/zoom thing
I wouldn't recommend using my brush if you've just started out using digital inks. It's not exactly meant for advanced inkers, but the settings can be difficult to work with. The brush works best with big sized files, anything between 5000 px for a single illustration up to 10000 px if you're inking comics with a lot of details. Personally I no longer use this brush, I'm fine now with the regular round brush or any another custom brush. The Cintiq allows for more control than the old Intuos or Graphire I used to work with.
