Today I got 4 notes in my inbox. All were asking me to use my works more or less for free. I appreciate that you at least ask me for permission to use my works, I really do.. but somehow that's also making me feel like a rummage table.

Rules are simple:

If you need my work for a school-project - fine. Do NOT sell any portion of my work, do NOT even try. Don't remove my copyright or at least credit me properly.

Asking for my work to be part your commercial project without paying me? NO!

I do understand that it is hard to make your work known, I'm sort of in the boat as you are, so I do understand you! But understanding aside... giving my work away isn't helping me getting my bank-account out of the red after paying for my PC and believe me it's also not helping me as an artist. Free advertising? Helloooo - the whole internet is free advertising.

I haven't replied to any (well except one) of the notes yet and I'd like to point out that I'm neither angry with anyone or above understanding the need for "free material". It just won't do, that's all.

Commissioning me is currently out of the question, I've been working on weekends for my employer lately, I'm working on side-projects and I still have to finish a truckload of other artworks. I do not have the time and more importantly, I do not want to work for somebody else atm.
