I wouldn't happen to have watchers who're living in London? Who are equipped with a photocamera or such a device? ^^;

Free Friday - Free Art

You can post in this here journal your "request". It can be fanart, it can be almost anything. Rules:

1. You must comment my journal-entry
2. Keep your description short! "I'd like a drawing of my OC/Sherlock Homes/my dog eating his favorite snack" is fine, don't make me go through your fan fics for that particular scene ;_;
3. This is for private clients ONLY.  No commercial use what-so-ever!
4. You won't get a high-res, fullsize file, but you will get your name under my uploaded file.
5. One winner is chosen randomly on friday
6. I'll start working on your request on friday when I get home and work on it for as long as like or until I drop onto my bed. Whichever comes first.

This does not mean that the lucky winner will get a full color sparkling refined illustration. It can be only a scribble. Whatever I can do with the couple of hours on friday and that's it!

I read that you wanted to go pro with your hobby to quit your job and I'm afraid I can't afford a professional photographer :( . I can only offer free artwork and frankly, I'd feel like I'd be stealing your time - especially since you're a new mum and all.

Well, rather than pro, would be business orientated like, for going pro I need a better camera I would say. What would it be for? I need practice though, lol :) Depending for what it is and when is it. I've got a friend moving into London soon, and as I'd be going out one night with her soon over there, but I could use that same day to take some pics!. :) I wouldn't charge anything, as it could be part of my CV.. sort of :D

I need photos as reference-material, so I would not use any part of these photos themselves, but in order to create a fantasy-version of London and a re-occuring street, I need photos. My last (and only) visit to London was nearly 20 years agao and I'm afraid I was rather looking for a particular a-ha LP than trying to capture the architecture *g*.

So, while I'm really looking for victorian era London, it could be anything, als long as it's not dated after ca 1900. Trainstations would be nice, old streetlamps, pubs - think Steampunk, if that helps. It would be awesome to have better ressources than Google - as fine as that site is, it's also very addictive! And I'd rather start working on my project than looking through another Terabyte of photos. I don't have a fixed date, but I hope to start working on the project next month. This doesn't mean I need the photos by then as I already have some material for part one of that project.

If this helps you to build a portfolio, then by all means - at least I'd be very happy ^^;

Ah... then I might be able to help even without the trip to London as victorian era buildings are my favourite, and I've already have tons, and given that you don't need perfection, you can use this as a reference [link] and if you like it I might load some more of my many visits to London :), I also wanted to update that folder, I have a couple on my other gallery, this one might be handy too [link] I also have a couple of the Trafalgar Square...:)
